NU Honours Admission 2024 – Release Slip Result

National University Honours Admission Circular 2024 has been published. This is four years BA, BSS, BSC and BBS Honours 1st year admission Circular. As per admission Notice online application will start from 22nd January 2024. Applications can be made till February 11, 2024. Interested candidates have to fill the application form through the National University admission website.

After the application, the primary application fee of Tk 350 must be paid to the applied college by 12 February 2024. Application fee can be deposited directly or through mobile banking as determined by the college. All activities related to NU Honours Admission 2024 will be completed through www.nu.ac.bd/admissions website. The classes of students admitted for the academic year 2023-2024 will start from 10 March 2024.

General Qualifications for Application

To be eligible for NU Honours Admission 2024, candidates must meet specific academic requirements. The general eligibility criteria include:

a) Students who have passed the HSC/equivalent examination (including 4th subject) in 2022/2023 and the SSC/equivalent examination (including 4th subject) in 2020/2021 from any recognized education board/open university in Bangladesh with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in each examination and a combined GPA of at least 6.5 in both examinations are eligible to apply.

b) Students who have passed the HSC/equivalent examination (including 4th subject) in 2022/2023 and the SSC/equivalent examination (including 4th subject) in 2020/2021 from the science or business education branch of any recognized education board/open university in Bangladesh with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in each examination and a combined GPA of at least 7.0 in both examinations are eligible to apply.

c) Students who have passed i) HSC (Vocational), ii) HSC (Business Management), or iii) Diploma-in-Commerce examinations from the Bangladesh Technical Education Board are eligible to apply if they meet the conditions mentioned in section 1(b).

d) Eligible subjects for admission to the first year of Bachelor (Honours) will be determined based on the subjects studied in the Higher Secondary and equivalent examinations, and the applicant must have a minimum grade point of 3.0 (out of 200) in each of those subjects.

e) Students who have passed at least four subjects in the 2020/2021 O-Level examination with a ‘B’ grade in three subjects and at least two subjects in the 2022/2023 A-Level examination with a ‘B’ grade in one subject are eligible to apply for this admission process, subject to other conditions. These students should not apply online but send their application directly/via email to the Dean, School of Undergraduate Studies, National University ([email protected]) within the specified time.

The application written on plain paper should include the applicant’s name, parents’ names, desired subject, institution name, and registered personal mobile number. Note that the desired subject must be affiliated with the relevant institution. Additionally, the application should be accompanied by attested copies of the applicant’s O-Level and A-Level transcripts and two passport-sized photographs.

f) Students with foreign certificates can also apply for this admission process if their secondary and higher secondary level certificates are assessed for equivalence by any recognized education board in Bangladesh, subject to fulfilling all other conditions. These students should not apply online but send their application directly/via email to the Dean, School of Undergraduate Studies, National University ([email protected]) within the specified time.

The application written on plain paper should include the applicant’s name, parents’ names, desired subject, institution name, and registered personal mobile number. Note that the desired subject must be affiliated with the relevant institution. Additionally, the application should be accompanied by attested copies of all the applicant’s exam transcripts, the equivalence assessment by the education board, and two passport-sized photographs.

g) Students currently enrolled in the Bachelor (Honours)/Bachelor (Honours) Professional/Bachelor (Pass) regular/private courses under the National University in the academic year 2022-2023 cannot be admitted to the first year of the Bachelor (Honours) class in the academic year 2023-2024. However, if these students wish to be admitted to the first year of the Bachelor (Honours) class in 2023-2024, they must cancel their previous admission for the academic year 2022-2023.

h) If a student is admitted twice to the Bachelor (Honours)/Bachelor (Honours) Professional/Bachelor (Pass) regular/private courses in the same academic year or in two different academic years, both admissions and registrations will be considered canceled.

Apply Online

All eligible candidates have to apply through the National University admission website. Application form cannot be collected directly from any college. Online application forms should be filled and the prescribed application fee should be paid through mobile banking or directly to the applied college. To Apply, Candidates need to follow these steps.

  1. Visit the official National University admissions website: (www.nu.ac.bd/admissions).
  2. Click on the “Honours Tab” and then select “Apply Now (Honours).”
  3. Fill out the application form carefully, providing accurate personal and academic information.
  4. Upload a scanned copy of your recent passport-sized photograph (120×150 pixels, jpg format, maximum file size 50Kb).
  5. Review the application thoroughly before submitting it.
  6. After submission, download and print the application form.
  7. Submit the application form and prescribed fee to the applied college.

Admission Result

National University Admission Result 2024 will be published in several steps. 1st merit list will be published first. 2nd Merit List will be published for remaining seats after admission from 1st Merit List. 1st and 2nd merit list will be known online and through SMS. Online: NU Honours Admission Result 2024 can be known online by logging on to the NU Admission website. Applicants can know their results by logging in with their Admission Roll and PIN.

  1. Visit the admission website app1.nu.edu.bd.
  2. Enter the Honours tab.
  3. Click on “Applicants Login Click Here” link from Honours Admission option.
  4. Enter your admission roll and PIN.
  5. Click on the login button and see the results on the dashboard.

SMS: Honours Admission Result 2024 can be known by sending SMS also. For this an SMS should be sent from any mobile phone.

  1. Open Messaging application on your Device.
  2. In New Message option write – NU <space> ATHN <space> Admission Roll (Example: NU ATHN 123456)
  3. Send this Message to 16222 from any Mobile Operator.

Final Admission Form

Candidates who are selected for admission must complete the final admission process by filling out the Final Admission Form. This form will be available online, and candidates need to provide all the required information and documents as specified by the university.

To fill the final admission form visit the admission website of the National University and follow the steps below.

  1. Click on “Applicants Login Click Here” link from Honours Admission option.
  2. Login with Admission Roll and PIN.
  3. Click on the Final Admission Form link from the dashboard.
  4. Fill the form with required information.
  5. Submit the form.
  6. Download and print the Form (College and Student Parts).
  7. Complete admission with necessary documents, printed forms and fees.

Migration Result

Students can turn on or off their migration option while filling the final admission form. A student must complete the admission to avail the migration facility. NU Honours Migration will be performed automatically. It will be up to the preference of the student. If a student’s subject changes through migration, he/she does not have to re-admit. However, login to the admission website and Download the subject change form and submit it to the new department. Migration will be conducted for students admitted in 1st and 2nd merit list. However, students admitted on release slips will not be considered for migration.

Quota Result

A separate results will be published for those students who have applied for quota in NU Honours Admission 2024. Students will also know their result like 1st and 2nd merit list for Quota. The students selected for quota admission should also complete the admission by filling the final admission form within the stipulated time. Candidates selected for admission by quota must submit the final admission form along with necessary documents and fee along with proof (documents) in favor of quota.

NU Honours Release Slip 2024

If an applicant is not selected for admission in the first and second merit list, if a student is selected but does not complete the admission, if a student is admitted but cancels the admission, he/she can apply for a release slip.

In the release slip, subject preference can be given in 5 new colleges. Honours admission is completed through a total of two release slips in National University. Currently NU Honours admission 1st release slip is going on. Students can apply for 1st release slip from 21 May 2024 to 6 June 2024. The student must be the primary applicant for the release slip application. Follow the steps below to apply for release slip.

  1. Login to the admission website.
  2. Enter the Release Slip Application link.
  3. Provide new subject options in 5 colleges step by step.
  4. Submit the application.
  5. Print and save the application copy.

It should be noted that no fee has to be paid for release slip. No application form or documents need to be submitted anew in any college.

NU Honours Release Slip Result 2024 will be released after the application deadline. According to the National University Notice, the NU Honours 1st Release Slip Result 2024 has been Releaed on 11 June 2024. Like the merit list, students can check their results by logging into the admission website and sending a message. All the students selected for admission have to fill the final admission form and complete the admission within the stipulated date.

Conclusion

All students selected for Honours admission to the National University within the stipulated time frame Admission must be completed. If a student fails to fill the final admission form within the prescribed time or fails to complete the admission within the prescribed date, his/her nomination will be cancelled. If a student selected for admission through merit list or release slip is already enrolled in any course of the National University, he/she should cancel the previous admission within the prescribed date. To complete the admission, the student has to complete the admission by filling the final admission form, necessary documents and paying the admission fee.
