Applicants must pass Honours or preliminary to masters course for admission to Masters regular course of National University. NU Masters Admission 2024 has already started. Masters final year and Preliminary to Masters Admission Circular has been released. NU Masters Admission 2024
The National University has outlined the following timeline for the preliminary application process for the 2023-2024 Master’s program:

Application Eligibility (Masters Regular)
To be eligible for the National University’s Master’s program, applicants must meet specific academic qualifications:
a) Students who have passed the four-year Bachelor’s (Honors) examination under the National University in 2019 and subsequent years with a minimum of 45% marks in the traditional system or a minimum CGPA of 2.25 in the grading and credit system can apply for this admission process. However, students who have obtained a pass degree in the four-year Bachelor’s (Honors) examination cannot apply for this admission process.
b) Students who have passed the Preliminary to Masters (Regular) / 1st Part Masters (Regular) examination under the National University in 2019 and subsequent years with a minimum of 45% marks in the traditional system or a minimum GPA of 2.25 in the grading and credit system, and have also passed the corresponding three-year Bachelor’s (Pass) regular examination with a minimum of 45% marks in the traditional system or a minimum CGPA of 2.25 in the grading and credit system, can apply. However, students who have passed the one-year Preliminary to Masters (Private)/1st Part Masters (Private) examination cannot apply for this admission process.
c) It is to be noted here that, subject to fulfilling the above conditions, students who have passed Bachelor’s (Honors) and Preliminary to Masters (Regular) / 1st Part Masters (Regular) examinations can apply for admission in this admission process only in the subjects they have studied.
d) Students who have passed Masters (Regular/Private) examination from the National University or are currently studying in any other program cannot apply for Masters (Regular) admission in the academic year 2021-2022. For this purpose, the applicant’s signed undertaking stating “I am not currently admitted/studying in any educational program under the National University/any other university. In case of double admission, I will be bound to accept the decision regarding cancellation of both admissions/registrations according to the rules of the National University” must be scanned and uploaded in the online application. If any student gets double admission by violating the said condition, both his/her admissions/registrations will be considered cancelled.
e) If any information/picture of the applicant in the preliminary application form is proved to be false, incorrect, or incomplete, the admission and registration of that applicant will be considered cancelled.
Apply Online
Application Procedure for NU Masters (Regular) Admission 2021-2022
Online Application:
- Go to the Masters Tab on the admission website www.nu.ac.bd/admissions and click “Apply Now (Masters Reg.).”
- Fill out the form with your Bachelor’s (Honors)/Bachelor’s (Pass), and Preliminary to Masters (Regular)/1st Part Masters (Regular) exam roll number, registration number, passing year, personal mobile number, and email address.
- Upload a scanned copy of your signed undertaking stating you are not currently enrolled in any other educational program.
Gender Selection:
- Accurately enter your gender (Male/Female). Incorrect gender entries can lead to application cancellation.
College and Subject Selection:
- Select your desired department and district to view eligible colleges and available seats.
- Carefully choose your desired subject from the list.
Quota Selection (If Applicable):
- If you are eligible for quotas (freedom fighter’s child, indigenous, disabled, ward), select the applicable one(s) and their order of preference.
- You must have valid certificates from the relevant authorities to apply under a quota.
Photo Upload:
- Upload a recent, colored passport-sized photo (120×150 pixels, JPG format, maximum 50KB).
- Applications with incorrect or missing photos will be canceled.
Submission:
- Review all information and your photo before clicking “Submit Application.”
- Your roll number and PIN will be displayed. Download and print the form (A4 size).
Correction (If Needed):
- Carefully verify all information and the photo on the printed form.
- To make corrections or change the photo, go to “Apply Now (Masters Reg.)” and enter your roll number and PIN.
- Click “Form Cancel/Photo Change Option” and generate a security key, which will be sent to your mobile via SMS.
- Use the OTP to cancel and refill the form with the correct information and photo. Note that you can only cancel the form once before it’s confirmed by the college.
Submission to College:
- Sign and date the printed application form.
- Submit the form along with attested copies of your academic certificates, registration card, undertaking, and the application fee of 300/- Taka to the selected college.
- Payment can be made through mobile banking (as specified by the college) or directly.
- You will receive an SMS confirmation upon successful verification of your application by the college.
Important Note: Contact the respective college within the specified time if you do not receive an SMS confirmation.
NU Masters Admission Result 2024
National University Masters Admission Result 2024 will be published in several steps. 1st merit list will be published after the initial application. After that, if the seat is vacant then the 2nd merit list will be published. Release slip application will start after admission from the merit lists. Two merit lists will be published for a total of two release slips. Also, the migration results and quota results will be published separately. All results will be released through the admission website and SMS. NU Masters Admission Result 2024 will also be known in the same way. According to the National University Notice, the 1st Merit List for the Preliminary to Masters Admission was released on 13th June 2024.
To check their results, applicants need to log in to the Admission website using their Admission Roll and PIN. The admission result or merit list will be displayed, indicating whether the applicant has been selected for admission.
Checking the Admission Result/Merit List:
- Visit the official National University admission website (www.nu.ac.bd/admissions).
- Go to the Master’s Tab
- Focus on the Masters (Regular) or Preliminary to Masters( Regular)
- Click on the “Applicant Login Click here” Link.
- Enter your Admission Roll and PIN.
- Click on the “Login” button.
- The admission result or merit list will be displayed.
- If Selected, fill out the Final Admission Form and Complete the Admission.
Apart from online, masters admission result can be known through SMS. If you send an SMS from any mobile phone, the results will be informed in the return message. To know the results through SMS, you have to send SMS in the following process.
- Open the messaging application.
- In New Message, write- NU <space> ATMP <space> Admission Roll
- Send the message to 16222.
For the Master’s final year admission results, write ATMF as the course code, and for the Master’s preliminary admission result, write ATMP.
Dual Admission Cancel
If a student is found to have been admitted to multiple programs within the National University or any other university, both admissions/registrations will be canceled. To prevent this, applicants must submit a signed declaration during the online application process confirming that they are not enrolled in any other educational program. Dual admission for Preliminary to Masters admission 2024 must be canceled by 27th June 2024 to complete the admission from the 1st Merit List.
Final Admission Form
All students selected for admission through merit list, quota or release slip must complete the admission by filling the final admission form within the stipulated time. Candidates selected in the latest published Preliminary to Masters 1st merit list have to fill the final admission form between 13th June 2024 and 3rd July 2024. Admission must be completed between 23 June 2024 to 4 July 2024. Masters Final Admission Form 2024 can be filled in the following steps.
- Visit the Admission website www.nu.ac.bd/admissions.
- Login to Masters (Regular)/ Preliminary to Masters login option.
- Click on Final Admission Form link.
- Fill the admission form with required information.
- Download the form and print both parts.
Note that if the subject is changed through migration, the subject change form has to be downloaded by logging into the admission website. The change of subject form should be submitted to the new department by the due date. In this case, the student does not have to pay the admission fee again or take admission.
Release Slip
Applicants who do not secure a place on the merit list, choose to cancel their admission, or are not admitted to their allocated subject despite being on the merit list can apply for a release slip. This allows them to select three colleges in order of preference for subject-based vacancies. It’s important to note that applicants whose preliminary applications have not been confirmed online by the college will not be eligible to apply for a release slip.
The following rules are to be followed for application of release slip.
- Visit the admission website (www.nu.ac.bd/admissions).
- Enter the Masters tab.
- Login to the prescribed course.
- Click on Release Slip Application link.
- Provide subject choice in three colleges consecutively.
- Download and save the application form.
Note that if applying through release slip, the application form does not have to be submitted to any college. Even no application fee has to be paid. The results will be published after the application period of the release slip. The Release Slip results will be known just like the merit list.
Final Admission
Merit lists, release slips and all candidates selected in quota should complete the admission within the stipulated time. The final admission form, required documents and admission fee must be submitted to the designated college to complete the admission. All information related to the NU Masters Admission 2024 can be found on the notice board of the designated college and on the National University’s website. The students selected in the 1st merit list of preliminary to masters admission must complete the final admission between 23 June 2024 and 4 July 2024.
